About the Work:
Smoke filled the canyon rim as i walked alone in the darkness.
Quietly as the effervesce of the land spoke,
i realized that i had never been alone in the silence of darkness.
Yet, before my meager soul in the dawn of the european existence,
there had walked on the naked body of the land the people of america.
They did not possess or own but understood the meaning of dependency on the mother and the womb.
My mind raced to the four corners of the world, directions that had been shared with me around fire and song of the drum beat on the skin.
