Townsend Davidson was born in Childress, Virginia in 1979. He received his BA from the College of Charleston in Studio Art in 2001 and in Art History in 2002. Davidson has also attended the Maine Photographic Workshops and Penland School of Crafts. In 2006, the artist was selected for Under the Radar, an exhibition of emerging artists organized by the Halsey Institute of Contemporary Art and Charleston Magazine. Davidson’s work has exhibited at the Halsey Institute, Redux Contemporary Art Center, Print Studio South, and the City Galleries at Waterfront Park and Dock Street Theatre, Charleston, SC.
